Dubai will be one of many international holiday destinations being showcased at the World Travel Market (WTM) this month. The event, which is the world’s biggest business-to-business exhibition for the international travel and tourism industry, will take place at the ExCeL in London from 9 to 12 November.
Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) will be attending for the 20th consecutive year and looking for new business opportunities in the UK and Europe. One of the highlights of the event for the DTCM will be the unveiling of the new Definitely Dubai brand, which is expected to create a variety of marketing opportunities for tourism professionals.
The UK and Ireland collectively represent Dubai’s largest source market, with some 854,600 visitors in 2008 and more than 383,100 people staying in hotels in the emirate during the first half of 2009. Over 50,000 travel industry professionals are expected to visit London this month for the WTM
