Thailand is concerned that Thaksin stays in Dubai

The United Arab Emirates ambassador to Thailand was Monday informed of Thai government’s concern over fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s thaksin_shinawatra-dubaiinformeruse of to launch attacks against the government.  Phanich Wikitset, an assistant to the foreign minister, said he summoned the UAE ambassador, Ali Omran Al Shamisi, to a meeting at the Foreign Ministry at 2 pm.  He said he submitted a copy of Thaksin’s interview with Times Online and copies of interviews of Thaksin’s aids to the ambassador to prove that Thaksin was using as a staging point to launch political moves against Thailand.
