An opportunity has arisen for an experienced RNS engineer to join the Baker Hughes team based in Abu Dhabi. The role profile is below;
Job Responsibilities
The resident RNS engineer is Responsible for complying with Company Policies and Procedures
Participates in the Baker Hughes HS&E Management System, including compliance to the policy, management standards and specific HS&E procedures.
Communication and continuous dialogue is the key to successful wellbore placement.
The resident Reservoir Navigation engineer will liaise and communicate with the customer along pre-established guidelines, advising them of relevant findings.
Operate within customer guidelines at all times.
In some cases the customer will require the RNS personnel to assist the geologist/asset team only, whereas in other cases the RNS personnel will be given more responsibility at the well site.

Responsible for local RNS Operations co-ordination including following the project from the initial phase, through the drilling phase, and incorporating lessons learned.
Liaise with clients to gather offset data, build pre-well models and present the result/recommendation to the client
Utilizes Baker Hughes real-time data, in most cases drilling and LWD data, to accurately position the well-bore relative to specific subsurface references and three-dimensional spatial coordinates either in client office or at rig-site as the job requires
Ensure all RNS jobs are properly closed out and archived (post job review: posters, reports and case histories)
Participate in a weekly regional RNS meeting;
Communicate effectively with other GeoMarkets & Regions for adequate project coverage and other Geosteering related issues.
Work closely with Operations division on all horizontal jobs.
Assisting in some Geoscience work with LWD data QC and finalization as required.
Contribute effectively to RNS business development.
Manages other RNS personnel movement to ensure full project coverage.
Establish and maintain effective communication with customers along pre-establish guidelines, advising them of relevant findings.
Participate in any other job as may be assigned by the direct supervisor or Geoscience manager.
Role Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or BA
Minimum of 3 years high level LWD experience, or minimum 3 years well site geology experience, or minimum 3 years industry experience in another related discipline
Experience with reservoir navigation software, an advantage
