Dubai Customs’ eco-initiative saves 594 trees

Dubai: Dubai Customs has announced that they have collected around 35,000 kilos of paper, plastic and metal, which has preserved 118 tonnes of waste carbon, and saved 594 trees and about Dhs218,000, the cost of logging those trees, in the framework of the “Al Grass” initiative which means planting trees and which was launched in April 2012.
