Sharjah students serve lunch to cleaners at recycling firm

Rohan Kapur, 12, a pupil at Delhi Private School, and his friends served food and drink to cleaners at Sharjah recycling firm Bee’ah on Friday morning.

Famous for helping labourers in the emirate, Kapur said he and his friends wanted to show their appreciation for the workers who help keep Sharjah “beautiful”.

“They are unsung heroes – we wanted to show our affection and appreciation,” said the schoolboy.

The delighted cleaners were given bottles of water, chicken biryani, mangoes and juice.
