The Iranian businessman appeared at Dubai Court of First Instance this week, where he denied a charge of assault.
The court heard the 41-year-old allegedly attacked both his brother and his nephew during the incident, which happened at a home in Refaa, Dubai, last year.
The defendant’s brother said the pair started arguing and then his sibling grabbed hold of him and dragged him out into the street.
“He sat on my legs until one of them broke,” the victim, 45, said.
His 21-year-old son to step in and help his father, however he claims the defendant punched him in the face.
An ambulance was called and the older brother was taken to hospital. A medical report said the injury will leave him with five per cent disability.
The case has been adjourned to hear from the defence.
