• Develop and oversee the implementation of the strategies in order to ensure the right mix of services to best meet customer demands and achieve goals

• Have overall accountability for the department budget and obtaining value for money by ensuring that the resources are deployed in the interest of effective and efficient service provision

• Continually evaluate the market dynamics and best practices to adapt and adopt as necessary

• Manage the department to ensure zero deaths, injury and minimal loss of property by fire

• Work towards reducing the impact of fire and explosion within all the areas of the corporation

• Attend operational incidents, to monitor performance, provide support and guidance and take command as required

• Prepare procedures including SOPs, guidelines and methodologies and update as necessary

• Prepare failure analysis, including fire, near miss and accident investigation and implement corrective measures

• Ensure training in first aid fire fighting training to employees under Fire Dept jurisdiction

• 15 years experience in operational fire departments/Fire Services

• 10 years in the capacity of Head of Fire department of a major international sea port/a large refinery or petrochemical complex
