Bored.com is hiring a Games Manager to help us grow our licensed game portfolio and distribution channels.

Your job will be to build relationships with game studios and license hit games for the web and for mobile devices. You will be responsible for picking hits!

During production, you will be the one who ensures that the games have all of the necessary elements for success, including functioning social features, in-game ads, and easy to use in game purchases for micro transactions. This will require assisting the game studios with usability suggestions.

After games are licensed, you will be responsible for post production promotions and pre-release marketing. This includes things like speaking to game journalists about the games, contacting game review sites, and game portals for game distribution. This also includes working with game studios and our design team to make promotional material for the game. It helps if you know at least a little about photoshop, etc yourself.

Finally, once games are launched, you are responsible for social promotion, and helping our media buy team to track the results of marketing campaigns for each game.

You will probably be most successful with this position if you have some sort of webmastering or web design background since you will be working with regularly with developers and need to speak their language somewhat. It also helps if you can get your hands dirty from time to time with things like making a promotional page or doing wire frames to show how you want an interface to look.
