Broadcast by Al Jazeera International, Frost’s conversation with the Bollywood superstar recounts her somewhat accidental entry into the world of showbusiness and reveals that her dream career growing up was slightly less lofty than being one of the most famous actresses in the world.
Ash also candidly spoke about her post-pregnancy weight-gain, taboo film-scenes and the future of Hindi cinema.
She did, though, also manage to talk her way around certain questions without ever giving an answer.
The former Miss World also spoke about her recent appointment as UNAIDS International Goodwill Ambassador.
At a recent event, the Indian actress appealed to expectant mothers to shed inhibitions regarding HIV/AIDS test so as to prevent their children from being infected by the deadly virus.
She said pregnant women should shed the fear of HIV/AIDS test.
“Though there is no medicine for curing this disease, its medical treatment is possible,” the actress said.
“I will help break social barriers and stigmas that are attached with the disease. I will help raise awareness on issues related to stopping new HIV infections in children and advocate for increased access to anti-retroviral treatment,” she added.
Meanwhile, when asked on her future career plans, Ash said she was currently busy looking after her one-year-old daughter Aaradhya.
However, the 39-year-old actress has returned to making more frequent media appearances.
She was seen inaugurating Kalyan Jewellers Vododara, Gujarat Showroom on December 9.
